Melissa Pinto is a Colombian born designer with over eleven years experience collaborating with a deep network of vendors, top designers, architects and high-profile clients in the US. Thanks to her wide range of experiences on high-end residential and commercial projects, Melissa works with clients on a personal level determining their specific needs with a creative flare, elegance and most importantly quality of life.

Melissa is currently handling jobs in Los Angeles, New Canaan and New York city and she recently finished a freelance job for AD 100 Studio Shamshiri in Los Angeles and a project in Hong Kong.

In 2013 Melissa helped develop the Interior Design department for award-winning architect David Howell in New York City. For five years she managed a variety of fascinating residential and commercial projects from start to finish. Before joining David Howell in 2010, she worked for three years at the prestigious firm Diamond Baratta Design where she collaborated hand in hand with the firm’s principals on a diversity of high-end residential projects. Prior to moving to New York, she began her career in Miami working with local designers on various residential projects all over the city. Melissa graduated in 2003 from the Miami International University of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.

Her designs are bold but not loud and reinterpret possibilities mixing vintage with modern furniture. She brings her refined eye in both contemporary & traditional aesthetics and helps her clients visualize and transform spaces with an optimal balance of function and beauty.
